I have an opportunity to purchase an 28-2 with an S serial#, dates from 1961-1962 per SCSW. 4" barrel and orgional grips no box. It would be like new but has minor holster wear at the end of the muzzle.
I would like some input about the model 28. does the S serial demand higher collector value as a 29 with S prefix or would this peice need to be in LNIB to see any value.
I have several K frame 357's and this would be my first N frame 357. I dont want to over pay for something that I may not be able to get my money back out of if I dont like it. I dont want to make any money off of it I just dont want to be stuck with it if I dont like it
What is a reasonable price to pay for it. It is from a friend and I dont want to cheat him so is the SCSW price correct?
It shows very good condition at $285 and Exc as $375 I would rate this peice as somewhere between VG & Exc.
