Default Model 19-3 Nickel Finish

Can anyone give me an idea, of a reasonable resale value for this Nickel 19?

I would say between 450-550 depending on the area, if you have the box more if you have other accessorys cleaning brush, mop handle sight adjustment tool more.

Colt,
It would cost all of that in my area. Nice looking Mod 19, classy revolver I think and the stocks are really nice. Congratulations.

You did not get hurt. With those nice Target stocks, I'd say you paid about the right amount. It will only increase in value as time goes along, providing you keep it in this condition.
The dash 3s with nickel finish are great little handguns!
Regards,
JP

Yea, I bought a 19-4 nickel from a forum member here F2F several months ago for $450 as well.

$450-$550 is about the right price range. Anything more really it better have the box and all the goodies and be close to perfect. At least in my opinion.

I never ask what something is worth after I buy it.

It was worth exactly what I paid for it.

Usually I feel good about my purchases, sometimes I pay more than I liked.

But the item was always worth exactly what I paid whatever the amount.

What someone says it's worth is meaningless. It's worth what someone will pay.

Heck, you could sell the football cutouts and have way less in the gun, but I would keep it as it. The 4" M19s that are selling in my area, have been selling in the $500 to $550 range for about six months, of course that is based on condition. I do not see them dropping in value. I have one, and absolutely would not sell it for $550, but I do not plan on selling it anyway.

Nice acquisition, indeed. I think you were in the right range, assuming the mechanical condition mirrors the observable.

Agree with SP that one may rest confident in such a transaction, after the fact. Heck - it is done! And you have converted cash/credit to a tangible, which is OK in my view.

Regards,

Dyson

Mine is exactly like yours. I've seen them in my area for $450-650. I wouldn't sell mine for $650.

I bought this on a GunBroker Auction 3 years ago from a local Seller. I paid $565.00 for it. I worked at Colt Firearms in their Security Dept, worked with a fellow Security Officer who is a Smith & Wesson armorer and had him go through the Revolver, and he also did a " special" cleaning process. Came out beautiful. I am considering selling, hence the question of "reasonable value"
Thanks for all the responses!

$600-$700 all day long here in the middle of nowhere of KS if it had the original box and accessories. Maybe $50-$75 less without the box. Location seems to make a pretty big difference in price.

During the past eighteen months the going price for model 19's has risen from $350-$500 to $475-$695. Most nice 19-3's without the box are selling near $500 with nickel guns going for $550.

By the way, I wish the target stocks on my ANIB 19-3 nickel were that stunning!
