Default BBQs, Bean Butts & a Model 66: need stocks help!

I got this 66-1 via an online auction site some time back. No box, papers, tools etc, nor factory stocks. No matter, got it for a fine price fully intending it to for regular carry. Upon arrival, I noted the jeweling on the hammer and target trigger. Didn’t show up in the listing photos and wasn’t in the description. No matter again, now it’s the closest thing I own to a barbecue gun. Heh.

Curious stocks installed as well. S&W Medallions, heavy piece of metal at the base. Looks like Bean Butt or Bear Butt in the printing. My hand does not like them. Anyone ever seen or heard of these?

No matter yet again. Sticking with the barbecue theme, I installed this sorta loud tulipwood Hogue:

But it’s a mite long in the tail as you can see. In a high-ride Bianchi paddle, that extra butt of wood prints like a shovel handle. I like Hogues for shooting, I appreciate the extra material and length that supports an old hand injury, but I need something stubbier for carry.

Will someone please point me in the direction of a finely made hardwood set of stocks that are fuller than factory but more closely match the frame profile of the magnificent 2.5” Model 66?

Find a set of S&W round butt targets (banana) grips and shorten them to boot grip length(open frame on bottem or leave slightly longer.......(closed bottom). Or go for a set of Spegel boot grips......4-5 month back log ......but great grips

DASH,
These are the Ahrends smooth boot grips. The lack of finger grooves allows all of my fingers to be on the grips while grasping the gun. The bottom is flush with the frame.

If you want something a little longer the Ahrends Tatical RB smooth has pretty much the same profile but looks to be a hair longer. I have a set on order but have not received them yet.

These fit my hand very well. YMMV

And the Craig Spegal Bootgrips work great too:

Those are a head knocker. Should be good for nailing up wanted posters and lost dog flyers too. I have a similar pair but I never cared if they print or not.

Feral, I've seen the photos of you on here, and the ones of your ancestors. You are a dam site bigger 'n me! That beautiful revolver of yours wouldn't print on you with a bigger stock. Is it ported?

That Craig Spegel number looks well intriguing -- thanks for the great responses all!

Thanks. Yes its ported. Here is the paper that came with it. I have several holsters for it; a el paso and a pancake. Probley a couple others that work well too.
