Thanks Jack,
I'm a sucker for exotic Hogues. Those particular stocks are from back when Guy Hogue had the custom shop. You sent Guy an outline of your hand, picked out some nice wood and he made them himself!

Yes, Steve Herrett used to do the same thing. They were good stocks. I almost had him make me a pair back in the late 1970s, but just couldn't scare up the money. I had just graduated from college, which I attended on the GI Bill, while Deb and I were starting our family. There wasn't money enough to spare for custom grips. I now kind of regret not buying them anyway. But I still have all the S&W revolvers I acquired during that time - except the Model 28-2 I gave to my son, and he still has that!

Okay. As promised, here is a K-38 Masterpiece 4 screw from 1956. As you can see from the one photo, it has the original box and some of the tools. I still need a mop and a bore brush for it, if anyone has those items they would like to sell or trade.
The knife in the top photo is a Hibben custom, made for the Alaska Professional Hunters Association. I'm a Charter Sustaining Life Member.
Sorry about the flash photos. There just isn't much good sunlight up here this time of year. The days just started getting longer last week! For the third and fourth pics, I put the gun on a stool near the window to try to get the most available light, but that didn't work so well either. Maybe in the Spring I'll try to take some more.
I hope you enjoy these pictures anyway!
Jack

Here is another Model 14 for your viewing pleasure.
This one is a Model 14-2, dating from 1967. Missing only the wax paper and brochure. It's as good as it looks!

Yes! I couldn't help myself. When I bought this revolver, it was wearing post-1968 non-diamond Magna stocks. I stumbled on these nice prewar Magnas at a gun show about two years ago, and bought them for around $35-$40 (I felt a little bit like a thief, but the guy seemed to think he knew what they were and I bought some other stuff from him as well).
Anyway, they were just sitting in a box and looked so good on this gun, I just left them on it. When I find a correct pair for this gun, I'll probably take them off. One of these days, I will find a prewar gun that deserves them. Then they will go on it.
Glad you noticed!
Jack

Picked up this 14-3 SAO at a local shop a couple years back. I don't know if it came from the factory as a single action though.
This piece is a tack driver.
