Picked up my first 25-2
Strolled through a brand new gun shop this morning that is specializing in all things "tactical"; they had a nice looking 25-2 in the case. First thing I noticed were the Cokes which had me immediately interested; following that they brought out the factory box- complete with paperwork, cleaning kit, screwdriver, and wax paper! Now she's mine! I apologize in advance for the poor photos.
I'm thinking of getting some N-targets and ripping the Coke's off it for "future use". Happy New Year everyone!

So the gun doesn't have a target hammer or target trigger; however I believe the end label indicates it shipped with the "standard" parts. Can someone verify that I'm interpreting this correctly?

Very nice. I consider my 25-2 the best and most accurate revolver I have ever shot. Yours is a beauty and a super deal to boot.
I believe you're right about the non-standard standard parts, since the 25-2 generally shipped with the 3 Ts. The label seems to indicate that the "special features" include a standard trigger and hammer.

Damn I want a 25-2 so bad but jersey is such a pain in the azz to buy a pistol, I just hate the wait of 90 days or more and all the personal ref checks, background checks and work checks yes it's ridiculously amazing

Thanks for the comments. I was looking at the screwdriver and I believe it's incorrect for this vintage; can anyone comment on what screwdriver this is?

I wonder who put the cokes on...They look to be worth the price of admission. I have some correct vintage targets if you'd like to get rid of thos nasty, inccorect grips. Great find! P.S. I'd be happy to help you dispose of that incorrect screwdriver thingy.

Firebird, you really scored on this. The sight adjustment tool is from the 1940 to 1958 vintage. I think you you should become a regular in this shop as who knows what else may show up and need rescued. Nice car the '71 bird. Kyle

The 25-2 was one of my 'grail guns'. I did get one from a forum member here a couple of months back - not quite as nice as yours and '72 vintage.
One trip to the range has shown that she is scary-accurate with both hardball and LSWC.
Congrats.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Got it home and cleaned it up; it really is a beautiful gun. The Cokes look great and I'm stoked that I stumbled across it. The revolvers were apparently on consignment from a widow who was getting rid of her husband's guns. Among the boxes was a 27-2 5", but they didn't have the gun. They said she indicated she had quite a few more revolvers at home and would bring them in if the current ones sold; hopefully that 27 shows up!
