Default Model 28

This is my wife's Dad's duty revolver. He was both a WWII and Korean war veteran. Also served as a deputy sheriff in Vernon Parrish, LA during the 50's and 60's. A good man a good revolver. Well worth honorable mention. Regards, Harry

Nice revolver, I carries one as a Texas DPS Trooper in the early '80's. Still have it and love to shoot it!

Great revolver with a great history. Thanks for sharing! You should add it to the Ultimate Highway Patrolman Thread!

More pics would be great! Can you share the serial number range? It looks to be in fine shape, particularly for a duty gun. I would presume the original grips are either history or pretty well "seasoned"? Those are very nice smooth targets that are on there now!

My dad was born in Vernon Parish, Louisiana.

He left me a 1952 Pre-15, CM. It's a great shooter.

I've got a 4" and a 6" H.P. IMHO they are just now receiving the due attention they so much deserve. Abosolutley a great revolver. Keep it and cherish it.
