Restoration of Model 629 presentation box?

I have never fired Model 629 with wooden presentation box. The felt lining of the box has deteriorated and is powdery. Can restore the inside of the box? Or can i just get a new box from Smith? I searched with google to see if anyone else has done a restoration but no luck,
