Default 38 smith and wesson manufacture date
I'm a new member from GA. I am hoping someone might be able to give me a ballpark estimate of how old my 38 smith and wesson snub nose (5 shot) might be....serial number is 5J1291. Thanks for any help you can provide!

"Floating j" s/n with five digits should be 1971-72.
