S&W 57 1st year production 1964...
Pretty nice Model 57 from 1964.
Someone added the Gold bead front sight somewhere along the line.
Old Smith is an EZ 95%...Cokes don't have a mark on them.
Shipped to Cullum & Boren Co. Dallas, Tx. 12-2-1964.

Oh yea. That is very, very nice. I just love the .41 magnums, especially the old ones like yours. I think your 95% is conservative. Thanks for posting.

Hey, I'm looking at one serial range s 2700XX and was wonder what the first year serial range was. And approx. value? The one I'm looking at has a 83/8 tube. Also when did they stop using the cokes on these guns? O ya sweet piece!

If that is S270XXX then it would be a 1966 vintage...
Very nice 6"...I have a 4", 5" and 6" all made in 1964... The 5" was cut down from a 6" that had a damaged barrel.... Hopefully one day I'll find a 8 3/8" made in 64 to round out the collection...
