Default Over in the deserted revolver section of the store.....

Picked up this yesterday. No signs of it being carried, fired or played with. The walnut stocks are nicely matched at the top with some grain showing. A very nice, in my opinion, 1968 made Model 36-1. I like it, as the shop people knew I would when they pulled it out to show it, without me even asking. They can read my mind, evidently. Enjoy.

You can't leave that lingering on a shelf in a store. Well done.

Some people don't know what they are missing but that's ok. More revolvers for me.

Nice haul! I picked a 1980 brethern to yours over Christmas holiday and finally fired it yesterday. Fired several waddies, some rem 125 +p's and some federal personal defense hydra shock 110's. All of these were easy to keep in a fist sized group at 7 yards. The remington +p ammo was stout but very manageable after getting used to the blast from the 3" barrel....fun to find cherries like these once in awhile in that quiet revolver area you mentioned....congrats. :->

Default Hmmmmm...........

January is starting out to be a good month for 3" J's. I picked this one up yesterday in one of the larger Atlanta area shops. They are known for their Police trade ins and other older (high priced) Smiths. Well wouldn't you know, sitting on one of the lower shelves towards the front was this one. I really couldn't believe what I was seeing so asked to take a closer look. What a beauty and actually, its younger sibling a 3" RB HB was resting on the shelf just above and to the right. But this one just called to me and it was actually the cheapest priced Smith in the case. That helped! Anyway, this one was a no brainer and I figured my 2" nickle RB needed a younger brother. I'm really acquiring a profound fondness for these flat latch diamond magna J's! And, the standard barrel is much more esthetically appealing to me. But, I suppose, if the conditions were right a 3" round butt heavy barrel could be in my future..........

Older sibling

I just love showing this pic whenever I can!

Great looking Smith. I gotta say I've even noticed more revolvers selling at a few places I stop at from time to time. Mostly the mid to shorter bbl. length ones anyways.
