Default M-58 in Sci-Fi book

Aloha,

This is a Sci-Fi book with M-58 playing a major good guy's gun.

L. Neil Smith's writing is a Must read in my opinion.

Here's the book: Big Head Press - Thoughtful Stories, Graphic Novels Online And In Print - The Probability Broach: The Graphic Novel, by L. Neil Smith and Scott Bieser

He's a Major Pro 2A author, good easy reading stuff from

a Libertarian point of view.

UPDATE: He has a new site: http://www.ncc-1776.org/

And a new Book(s)

Enjoy

I remember reading that . . . in '82! I've got several copies of it - I give them away to newbies in libertarian thought. Let me know if you ever want to talk about all El Neil's other libertarian SF. cheers! erich

There were several books in the series.

"The Probability Broach".
"The Venus Belt"
And the somewhat lesser "The American Zone".

The first two are a HOOT.
American Indian Denver cop Win Bear is investigating some dirty Federal government dealings and is blown god knows where in a explosion at a lab.
When he comes to, he notices that wherever he is, EVERYONE is heavily armed......including the chimps and gorillas.
In a wild adventure in a Libertarian dimension he meets people like Marion Morrison, Clint Westwood, Baron Richthofen, and "Tricky Dick" Milhous, a professional burglar.
Fortunately, Bear is well armed with his S&W Model 58 .41 magnum.

Aloha,

Yep, I too have given away about a dozen copies of "The Probability Broach". Now I just send people the site of the online magazine.

I have read all of his books that I can find.

Here's his site or at least one of them

L. Neil Smith's Webley Page

Here's another one

Essays by L. Neil Smith

Reading what he writes is very Refreshing for me. Makes me wish

Star Trek was real and I can go settle elsewhere and not be bothered.

I haven't been to his Webleyweb page for years - Neil had some grumpdown after he wasn't nominated for president that time. Thanks for the reminder.

Edited: doesn't look like he's been there for years, either! Must be doing other things. Man, he's got to stop using his college graduation photo, too!
