Default Model 10 w/ 6" tapered barrel

Hi guys. I've got a stainless Mod 64 w/ 4" heavy barrel and really enjoy that 38 Special revolver. I've wanted to get a blued, tapered barrel Mod 10.
I came a across a beautiful 10-7 with 6" tapered barrel. The gun is in great mechanical condition and blue is 97-98%, no holster wear. I had been looking at 5" tapered barrel guns, but was really impressed at how well this 6" gun balances in the hand. It felt 'lighter' to me than my 4" HB Mod 64. - - - The revolver will be used for plinking, small game, and maybe as a 'house gun'.
I'd appreciate hearing from those of you who own/or shot 6" tapered barrel Model 10s. How do they compare in feel to the 5" barrel guns ?
(BTW - they want $ 385 for it. I havent seen as nice a specimen in the areas where I've traveled around the state.) Thanks !

The six inch tapered barrel Model 10 is a fine gun for the intended purposes you mentioned. I have a pre Model 10 like it and it is one of my favorite fixed-sight S&W's.

As for comparison with the five inch tapered barrel Model 10- the five inch looks more balanced and would be slightly easier to carry, other than that it is a toss-up.
