I have an Airweight 38 SPL CTG. Stamped on the butt is 519J48. Can you tell me what model number this gun is?

Any pictures to show us that would help big time. Exposed hammer, shrouded hammer, hammerless? Judging by the serial number on the butt it could be like my Model 37...

Hello and welcome to the Forum.
With that serial number, it probably shipped in 1972. If the hammer is fully exposed and has a spur, it is a Model 37. If it has the hump back and the hammer is mostly enclosed, it would be Model 38. Just open the cylinder and look on the frame in the yoke cutout. The model number is probably there.

Default Perfect Info.

Thank you all. It is a model 37. Any idea what is might be worth? It has larger custom grips and I have the original grips that look brand new. It's in excellent condition and not more then 80 rounds shot sense I bought it in the early 70's.

Sounds like a sweetheart...paid $500 recently for the one pictured. Mine is also approx. 1971 vintage. Yours, with two sets of grips probably worth more.
