Roll the cylinder out and the model will be stamped inside along with the serial #. Model # will be like a 19-3 or something similar. Hope this helps

It looks like a 4" heavy barrel Model 10 with aftermarket stocks to me.

Possibly a Model 13 with the fixed sights.

Look on the butt for the serial number or inside the crane. Butt # as seen below.

13-1 Fixed sight K frame from 1974 - '77. Born from a 10-6, hence the Model 10 Heavy Barrel suggestions. Square butt, PC Magna grips should be on it, like the nickel one above. And a fine .357 Magnum handgun

Model 13, .357 Magnum version of Model 10, the Military & Police revolver that has been in continuous production since about 1899.

This model came about, I think, after New York State Police requested a Model 10 in .357 Magnum. Theirs were marked Model 10-6, but when introduced to the public, it was called the Model 13. It has a stainless counterpart, the Model 65, which came about in the same way, but at the request of a different agency. Oklahoma Highway Patrol, I think, requested a .357 Magnum version of the Model 64. When introduced to the public, it was called the Model 65.

the Model 13 is a wonderful revolver.

A fixed sight K frame, not much different than the 19, a gun which many think is the finest ever. (there are other differences)

Enjoy that fine piece of craftsmanship.
