square butt model 60?
I was wondering if S&W ever made a square butt model 60? I'm talking about the original stainless Chief Special, NOT the mini-686 looking later versions. I don't see any mention of it in the SCSW, but you know about "never say never" when it comes to a S&W.
To me, a round butt Chief makes more sense for a concealed-carry gun and I much prefer them, but S&W made a lot of SB Chiefs & Airweight Chiefs and lots of people really like them. So I was kind of surprised not to find mention of a SB model 60.

Yes, there were a small number of 3" pinned barrel model 60s in the early 1970s, and about 1000 2" and 3" later ones (1984) made for John Jovino in NYC.

They were indeed! I saw one for sale at a local show last year and posted a question about it then.
Model 60 2" Square Butt
They were John Jovino guns.

1 one of 171 in a shipment to John Jovino NYC in 1978. Parts had been manufactured in early 1970's finally assembled and shipped in 1978.

There's a photo of a 2" SB M-60 on another thread, can't remember which. Boy, does the mention of the name 'John Jovino' bring back memories to this former NYC'er!
