Default Factory repair.....?

My 1977 J frame air weight sustained some damage in the way of a dent in the back strap. Not drastic, but one of those things that immediately grabs your eye.

Can S&W repair this type of damage and what or who do I contact at S&W for this rather unique repair?

To make matters worth, it is nickel, so it shows up all to well.

Probably not without a refinish, which would be drastic.

I would live with it; it adds character and proves the gun is being used.

Even the Mona Lisa is falling apart.
