Yesterday was truly a blessed day! Went up to a friend's private range and had a chance to fire all my stainless 60 series 38/357 revolvers except my 2,5 inch M66-2. Haven recently purchased an M60, M64-5, M65-4, M66-1 and M67-1I needed to shoot them to gain more appreciation for the collection, and I even took out an M28-2 for kicks and comparision. I hadn't had a good chance to fire them and get used to them or their sights. Well I like the M64, M65 and 66 but, the 67 is so sweet I think that may well be the finest revolver Smith and Wesson has ever created for the average man and I was thoroughly impressed with that crisp falling hammer and smooth single and double action trigger. You can definitely tell the evolution of revolver models as you work your way through them sequentially. The M66 is beefier, but the M67 gives the prefect balance to.M65HB fells better in had than the 64HB but, M66 feels better than both of them. We shot 158 gr wadcutters and semiwadcutters and at distances of 7-10meters, X's were destroyed on many cycles of fire and no strays outside the the 8 ring on fast draws. Just an all around great day. Which is your favorite 60 series stainless revolver? M66 and M67 are my top two.
