Model 36 No Dash Value?
Looking to pick up a Model 36 with no dash.
Have a colleague who is willing to let one go.
Blued finish is pretty much at 95% with box and papers and original grips. Birth date in 1979. What is a reasonable asking price for one of these ? He wants $500, is that about right or am I over paying?
Here is the pics he sent me:

Kinda steep, but in 2 years or so that is what they all (with those accessories) will be going for, I think.

That's the going rate around here for the last 6 months, normally the box is not included.

What Buck said. Pinned older J's with box, goodies and matching grips, $500 all day. Probably more if mint.

Today I paid 465.00 for a Nickel Plated Mod 36 (no dash), no box no nothing. It is in 90 to 95 condition, in my opinion. Boxes and every thing that came with the revolver adds value. Boxes alone can bring &100.00.

My local dealer has a 3" with Blued finish. Probably 90%. He is asking $579 for it. I am guessing without a trade he would come down to $500 - $525 on it.
I probably should adopt it.

Two weeks ago I picked up a 3" model 36, no dash, for $410 OTD.
Very little holster wear at the muzzle. No Box of Tools.
If you want the snub nose go for it. They are not going to get less expensive!!

I just saw a blued like new model 36 with the box and everything else for 700. It was an early 70s model.

Man, that is a teeny little thing! His pics made it look a lot bigger. Nice score! You won't regret the purchase.
