Default My S&W wheelgun family grew today

I bought a 36 no dash, flat latch and 4" 10-5 at my lgs on Saturday. They were estate pieces. I believe the 36 dates to 1963 (SN 400XXX) and I think 1967 for the 10-5 (SN C735XXX). Hopefully someone can confirm or correct!

There is some small scuffs between the flutes on the cylinder of the model 10 (kinda strange) and a small turn line. No holster wear and a shiny bore. The stocks have a great grain. Came in the original box.

Other than a faint turn line, the M36 is in absolutely superb condition.

All that's left is some range time!

Don't worry about "turn lines." Existence of turn lines proves the revolver is working properly. Never trust a used revolver without a turn line, unless you are absolutely certain that it has not been shot since test-firing at the factory. Registered Magnums, widely regarded as the best-fitted, most beautiful revolvers to ever leave 2100 Roosevelt Street have some of the grandest turn lines of all.

Beautiful revolvers.

From none other than D.B. Wesson himself:

I love it when the family grows, congrats.

Speaking of that, I think I need to grow my family some more, all I have added the last few years have been rifles.

Very nice! I would guess they were both shipped at about the same time, late 1964 to early 1965, which would fit with an earlier version of S & W addiction .

Very nice. Is always good to add another member or two to the family during the holiday season.

Good job! Very nice 10! 36 is nice also. I picked up a 36,3" at local gun show in Sept. Square butt #'s match & box. 1957 gun. 3" is easier for me to shoot than my 2" Enjoy them! Bob

Nice find! I have a 72ish square butt 36, they are great guns! The scuffs may be storage marks....rattlin' around id a drawer.
