Default Info on Rare S&W Model 10-5
Hi, I got this gun from a guy that didn't know much about it. From the numbers i believe its 1971 but the grips are what really catch your eye. Is this a special gun smith put out back then, I really couldn't find much on this. I attached some pics of it.

Looks like a custom set of grips on a fairly ordinary revolver. Those grips are special... High dollar Mexico ...

The 10-5 is nothing unusual. Probably more -5s than any other model 10. The grips are aftermarket Mexican silver, which is a low silver grade with copper emblems. Smith never did grips like that. That package may be worth $400.
