Default Sight Adjustment Tool

Do any of the well versed Smith fans here know an approximate date for this type of sight adjustment tool? I have this in an unopened cleaning and tool kit that came with a gun I bought. I am thinking it is the wrong kit for the gun.

Thank you very much. that is very good information and quite thorough. Safe to say that the kit that came in my 19-4 was thrown in as an after thought by somebody. guess it is off to ebay to find the correct kit.

Yes. Here are a couple photos to help you. The SAT you want is the fluted aluminum one, shown at the bottom in the first photo.


This second picture is of the box and tools for a K-38 from 1973, but the tools would be the same for your Combat Magnum.
