50 years ago today...
Smith & Wesson shipped this Chiefs Special Target Model 50 and some others to B.E. Hodgdon, Inc., Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
It was one of 568 Model 50s Dr. Roy Jinks said S&W built that year. (I have the correct serial numbered stocks. These ad a bit of drama.)
It was also my first anniversary as an enlisted guy in the United States Air Force.

Now THAT is an anniversary gun to own!...Now I have to find a nice Smith that shipped 1/3/1966 when I boarded the bus for Lackland...Or even 5/27/1969 when I drove through the main gate at Holloman for the last time... ...Ben
