Default 19-3 an 1K19357

I probably paid too much for this one but I just couldn’t resist the temptation of the cool serial number. It’s in beautiful condition with box etc. I’ve been a huge fan of the 2 1/2” Combat Magnum since my teen years when Dad used to load me and my brothers up and drive to the nearest TG&Y. We always made a beeline to the gun counter in the back of the store. This isn’t my first one, but it’s probably the best condition by far.

if you paid an even 1000 for it...it really is the perfect serial number.

Just when you thought a 2.5” 19 couldn’t get any cooler. I would have gladly paid extra for that coolness.

Nice score!

I feel like a "me too" but you and all the others who stated it are correct. That serial number would be impossible to pass up.

Like you, I think highly of the 2 1/2" Model 19. I bought the one in the picture below at a gun show 10 years ago. The seller let it go for $425. It was wearing square butt Pachmayr stocks, so I put ivory on it. It hangs on a hook on the inside of my large gun safe and just about every time I open that safe I have to pause and admire it. And yes, it goes shooting with me from time to time.

Also I realized when I picked it up from FFL that it has both Target Trigger and Hammer. Never seen a CM 2.5” with these. I’m gonna letter it to feed my curiosity.

Sheesh I wish I had paid anywhere close to $425!! Yours looks amazing with the ivory stocks.

TG&Y is a store I haven't thought of in 50 years. There was one in Woodland, Ca. and a friend of mine was the manager at that time. The M19 looks great. I bought one about ten years ago at a show fo $450, maybe a little high at the time, but a good buy now.

Between the serial number, target hammer, target trigger, I don't think there's any way I would have been able to pass up that Model 19!

Beautiful gun! Thanks for posting!

The only way it would have been cooler(?) was if it was made in March of '57, but that would have been impossible! Congrats on a great find! My 1st ever K frame snubby is a 19-5, looking very similar to yours. Bill in MA

Congrats on that handsome Combat Magnum.

I'm a serial number nerd. I think that's the coolest one I recall.

Thank you two-bit cowboy. I’m kind of a serial number nerd too. I’m into Colt 1911s and I always look for Series 70 or older models that might have “1911” in the serial. Probably futile but I have fun looking.

Great looking revolver and cool serial number! Model 19 snubbies are outstanding revolvers. I picked up this minty nickel Model 19-4 (ca. 1978) a few years ago at a local gun shop. Enjoy your .357!

COooool.........double entendre......

K19357 = K[1935]7 or K19[.357]

For those who don't know

1935 was the first year for the ....... the .357 Magnum and the Registered Magnum the first handgun in .357 magnum!

Nice grab. Too much is relative. If you can afford it, it is not too much.

I would have payed too much for that revolver with that serial #.
But I would have payed too much for one in that condition anyway. 😁

You guys are awesome. Making me feel better about paying “too much” for this one. Like I mentioned, it came with the original box, tools and paper and the right stock is stamped with the serial number and it’s in incredibly good condition for having been shipped from the factory 52 years ago!
