Need help with Model 13-1 grips
Hi all, I guess i need some help. I have a model 13-1 serial #D817540 and i have purchased 2 sets of K frame grips for it. Neither fit. The grips will go on but they over lap as seen in the photo. Can anyone tell me which grips belong on this? When I look online, it says it's a K frame. I hope you can tell from the photo that it's too large maybe by and 1/8 of an inch. I am looking for the original service grips. By the way, if anyone has a like new pair of grips that fit and they are reasonably prices, I would be happy to purchase them. I need like new because the gun has never been fired. Thanks I forgot to mention they are square butt

Off the cuff and without more pictures, I'd wager jinx is correct. Your 13-1 shipped with magna stocks, and probably magna PCs (plain clothes), which are magnas with rounded bottoms.
Trouble is, there are K-frame magnas, such as would go on your 13, but also larger N-frame magnas -- and they can be confused with one another.
Indeed it looks like you have N-frame magnas.
If confirmed, see if you can return them to the seller, or exchange for properly fitting magnas.
If not, consider offering them as trade here on the forum; there's probably someone out there with a nice set of K magnas who'll trade for an N set.

One way to tell K from N frame Magna stocks is the length of the bottom edge - 1.75" for the K and 1.875" for the N. From the (lack of) fit in the photos they sure look to be N frame.
