Default Smith model 57 question

Am an avid fan of the Smith in 41 mag. I thought I have a pretty good knowledge of those gun but a question has come up. Did S&W ever make a 57 with an adjustable front sight?
thanks for the input, Mark

S&W never catalogued a Model 57 with an adjustable front sight, that I am aware of.

I've only seen the adjustable front sight on Models 29-3 and 586/686.

I believe they made a few M-57's with adjustable front sights similar to the M-29 silhouette. I don't think they made very many of them however.

I see in the Standard Catalog of S&W, there is a reference to the factory making TWO Model 57s with 8-3/8" barrel with the adjustable front sight. There is also a picture of one of them, on page 220.

and one was cut down, i believe. I may be wrong but I beleive someone on this board has the other original M 57 10" Silhouette, or I have at least seen a pic of it here. i would give my left n** for it.
