Default S & W Model 25-9 Tennessee Highway Patrol 60th Anniversary

So, I picked up a smith and wesson Model 25-9 THP 60th anniversary revolver the other day. From my research I have found that these were consigned by GT distributors and sold only to active and retired members of the THP as only 350 were made.
The Smith and wesson book says that they were made using the model 25-5 with a few using the 25-9 model. The 25-5 was made from 1978-1988 and the 25-9 was made from 1990-1991. The anniversary gun was made in 1989.
My guess is they used some old surplus guns from the last year of the 25-5 and some early 25-9s. Also, my serial # is THP01##
What do you think. Does any one have more research on them?
Mine comes with the presentation case, numbers matching box, and all tools still in plastic wrap.
Anyone else have one?

Everyone loves pics, but I haven't figured out how to get them on here. Feel free to PM with advise on pic posting.
Thanks
Hank

My uncle was one of the first four THP patrolmen. I remember seeing pictures of him in the uniform he wore on the motorcycle. They started on motorcycles. They wore bow ties made of leather, high top boots and riding britches. He was born in 1900 and passed away in 1969. He made Lt. And served for 35 years. My brother and I used to play in his patrol car and he would let us turn on the siren.
