Ha. I bet Allen-Frame would take orders for a couple.

Wow! I really like that revolver! Almost makes me want to give up 1911's...almost.

I like the gun, fixed sight and all, but the round butt is as far as I would go. I have extra rear sights (complete) if needed.
My old S frame service 28 is in great condition mechanically, but I have smallish hands and the round butt is appealing. Right now the only custom feature is a nice combat trigger. I see no problem with a four inch barrel on a large frame.
I will not cut mine up, but the DFW market for revolvers is not bad, especially for finish challenged ones. Hmmmmm?

3.5 combat 28
Very nice Jim. Who did that wonderful bluing job? Remember the 3" 41 Mag I got from Mike G? You posted some pics for me on this site. If you still have those or I can resend some for you to look at. Mike had someone in California make a very small fixed rear sight to fill the slot left from the old S&W rear sight. This small fixed sight still gives a great sight pic but looks very cool. Do you want me to ask Mike who made that sight for him?

What was done about the hole for the sight screw? Left open, or plugged with a set screw?

Yeah, Bill had to bring out that 29-2 and make us all green. That's the first pic I've seen with those grips on it. Very nice, Bill. They really set it off. I'm really sick now.
Nice 28, by the way.

Cool 28, that came out really nice, don't know how I missed this thread the first time around.

I'd like to get a better look at the new rear 'sight' as well, some of these adjustable to fixed sight conversions can be pretty creatively done. This is the rear sight on my Krebs Custom .45ACP M28 'Crowbar'-

I moved the gun to a new owner. I don't have the pictures saved anymore. Sorry about that.
