Didn't want it, had to buy it
Just got back from the LGS, they had a 629-1 3in round butt with a gorgeous set of combats on it. It locks up tight and doesn't look like it's been fired much.
The shop thinks it came in with a box but aren't sure, either way at the price I paid I'm not worried.
Great addition and the best things show up when you aren't looking. As an N frame big bore addict this is a great addition for me even though it slightly more recent then the rest of my collection.
... I may even carry this one with some .44 spl in it!

Some years back, I walked away from one in the box. I'm still kicking myself. I'm glad you got that one. Congratulations for knowing when to just do it.

Nice catch! I walked into my LGS a couple of years ago not looking for anything in particular and stumbled on a bunch of items that were just put on display. Left with a 6" blued python, 3" 29-3 Lew Horton with combats, 6" 617 no dash with combats and an unfired 5.5" model 41. All came with boxes, were in at least 98% condition and was under $2500 total. Had to get home and figure what I was going to sell before the credit card bill came in the mail as I knew the wife just wouldn't understand.

Very, very nice find.
Congratulations or your new to you Revolver!
The combat stocks are beautiful on it.
I have a 629 4" and you can shoot specials out of it all day.
Even milder magnum loads are a hoot as well.

If you don't really want it, I'll take it off your hands. Gave up trying to get one recently on Gunbroker. They are going for $1200 and up lately.

Can you say "big and beautiful"?!
Overall, the proportions of your new revolver with a three inch barrel appear to resemble the proportions of my pocket J-frame with a 1 and 7/8ths inch barrel.
To my eye, it just looks "right".
Congratulations!

This LGS has been a honey hole over the past couple of years. It doesn't help things that I work there and get first dibs before it hits the showroom.
.... My bank account takes a beating but I'm young so who cares!

How's come we don't have any gun stores around here in Ohio that do NOT know what they are doing when it comes to pricing??? Congrats to you!

"Didn't want it, had to buy it."
Like Geraldine (a.k.a. Flip Wilson) would say, "The devil made me do it."
It's very nice. Congratulations!
