Default 25-2 45acp

I have read or heard that the older model 25 45 apc's guns do not shoot well. Mine that came in a wood case with the goodies they put in there, seems to shoot better than I do. Is this an old wives tale or did someone start unknown subject that no one ever bothered to prove or disprove. My 25 shoots fine and is a very smooth unit to shoot. would like to hear from other shooters with this vintage of gun, how there results came out... Thanks...Hawken

S&W (and Colt) produced a lot of guns with grossly over sized throats. You got a good one.

My 25-2 shoots fine, It is a late 25-2 S/N N458XXX. It will shoot better than I can.

Mine might be the most accurate gun I own. It definitely shoots WAY BETTER than I can hold.

Some have a problem digesting factory ammo in .451 or .452.

Those 25s that do have large throats can usually cure any problem by using custom cast bullets or hand-loading their own...

The Mod 25-2 is one of the finest N frame guns S&W ever made in my opinion. They usually have high praise from those who actually own them...
