just bought a mod 36 no dash se. no, ABA3790. ANY THOUGHTS?

Welcome to the FORUM! You will learn so much here. I am new to Model 36. Have had it less than 3 weeks. It is fun to shoot though. Someone will give you an approx. ship date for your gun. Pics are very important to these guys. There are some beautiful pics posted. ( mine are not) Bob

Guessing its made around 1982.

I admit to putting hand filling rubber grips when taking it to the range and then switching back to wood grips for carry. Feed mine a lot of wadcutters and carry with the Speer 135 gold dot for short barrels.

Please be very careful-J frames have a way of multiplying when left unsupervised in the safe.

I also just got my 36. A no dash "Flat latch" 3" tapered barrel square butt... Allmost as new as it was in 1964

I think you have a late model 36. Smith and Wesson didn't start using the ABA prefix serial number until late 1982.
