27-2 5", LNIB
I just bought this today at a pawn shop. I had another thread debating getting a 19-3 4" vs this gun (both LNIB), but I thought this gun deserves a thread of it's own, now that it's home. I wish I could have gotten both. N 168 thousand range. It seems like a very balance package.

What is written on the end label in the stocks section ?
I'm wondering if it came with the Target stocks.
That's a nice one, congrats.

I need to start frequenting pawn shops.
Did you get a good deal? Yes or no is fine, and if you live in Atlanta maybe I could swing by and grab the 19 you passed on.

If it did it would have ST marked. S for square butt and T for target.

IMO Both are Great guns but the 5" N frame has the advantage at the range and dampens full house 357 better,
The 4" K frame is better for toting around in a holster all day.

Pawn World in Candler NC, near Asheville, 3.5 hours from Hotlanta, I85 to I26 to I40, west on I40 just a few miles, get off at the candler exit, turn right back under the highway, Pawn World is just a couple miles on the right.- they offered the 19-3 at $700 plus tax, marked at $800. Box and papers, no tools. Very Nice dark grips.
I love hitting the pawn shops.

That's only a 7 hour drive. Hmmm, it's for a noble cause

At one time I owned 7 Model 27-2's and the 5 inch was always my favorite as I had a nickel and a blued one because to me it balanced the best. Congratulations on the purchase.

Interesting thing here, on the label where it says stocks it is marked S, in the places where it is sales finish it is marked BT.

Definitely the right choice! N-frames rule!!! The 5" guns are the greatest looking and probably best handling ones too.

Very nice. I prefer the narrow standard trigger over the wide serrated target trigger.
