S&W 19-4 Combat K frame value
I have a guy wanting to trade me his S&W 19-4 Combat Revolver serial # 78k6XXX for my glock 22 fde. I have pictures. Looking for an estimated value of the smith, it has the original box and grips. NOte the mars on the cylinder and the buff mark behind the trigger on the left side near the grip. Thanks, looking forward to getting a little more information about this.

Glock value gen3 is $375-$450 used as I have seen them. 19-4 nickle, pinned, 2 1/2 inch around $475-$600. Even scuffed. They still make Glocks not so with the 19's. Wish he was my friend.

Make the trade!!!! Even if it's funky under the grip. It can be cleaned up with some mothers mag polish. The nickel is good unless it is flaked or has an opening. Trust me, these old nickel 19's can be brought back to life easily. I'd trade "Blocks" for Smiths all day long. If I can figure out pic posting I'll show you one I just restored.

Use the condition under the grips to get a few bucks back or maybe some ammo if he has some. Either way, do the deal.

Here's a model 19-3 I rescued from a local pawn shop, took it home and gave it some TLC and a couple of nights later it looked like this.....and I promise this gun was in rough shape at the pawn shop.
Don't hesitate to take on a project gun if the price is right. They make it worth while.

I would jump on it. ANY serviceable prelock S&W is worth more than a block of plastic in my opinion.

That will clean right up into a great looking revolver. I would jump on it in a heartbeat.
