price on 1968 model 19-5
Have a friend wanting to sell me a 1968 19-2, 4 inch ex condition, blue finish. Very nice gun. What would be a fair price for both of us? Thanks

A fair price is the highest he can get you to pay, and the lowest you can get him to accept.

Welcome! Shawn is technically correct .
There will be a big price difference for very slight finish loss or details like non-original stocks so a detailed description or photos would help here, but as you describe it I would guess $500-600 (good friend vs. retail price).

Between friends......I'd say $450 and then buy him a six pack of the best that the local micro brewery has to offer.

A Model 19-2 was offered in the Forum Classifieds here a week or so ago for $1475. It was up for 5 minutes before it sold.
YMMV
