Beautiful gun. My favorite of any. Here is one I bought in 82, 19-4 and carried in LE 10 years. At least 50k rounds through it. Difference between using and abusing a gun.
Enjoy,
JR

i saw this one in the Ultimate Combat Magnum thread. Are those the original Stocks that came with the gun?

Our 19-4 look like they could be brothers.

Two nice guns! Been looking for one myself, no luck.

I can't believe that second gun was carried on patrol for 10 years. Its in great shape.

Nice 19 you have there! The stocks that are on it are target grips. They could be ordered on many models. They are my favorite. All of my Smiths but 1 have them. What's not to like about a K frame magnum? Bob

Yes I actually knew Target and not Combat, I was definitely tired when I posted this last night, and I edited the description appropriately.

And yes, the Model 19 and or the Model 66 are musts for the collection of many Smith and Wesson fans.

They got these guns right.

I am waiting on a set of Kuracs for this one too. It is going to look so sweet once I get those.

The 19 I carried was carried under a sports coat or suit. I also used it to teach LE Firearms instruction. It was shot at least twice a week and thousands of rounds at some classes. The stock on mine are quite worn. They took a lot more use than the bluing as they were handled and shot so much.

Those are about as nice a pair of GA Targets as I've seen. While I like walnut, you just can't beat the color and grain of GA, in my opinion.
Here's a pic of one of my Combat Masterpieces. It is wearing its original GA Target stocks. Of course this is an earlier gun than yours, so it has the small "football" relief instead of the speed loader cutout. Also, this small relief is less common than the standard large "football" so I'm especially happy to have these. This gun was a gift from my dad when he was still with us. It is promised to my daughter upon my own passing.

The older 19's are simply gems. Bought my 19-4 new back in the day, and has a very low round count. But have been bringing this gem out again to teach the current girlfriend how to shoot a revolver. She is becoming quite proficient with it loaded with 38's. This 19 shoots better than just about anyone that picks it up.

I love the model 19's. I got this one from a highway patrolman who said it was used in LE. No markings. I think its sweet.

The Model 19 is one of my favorites too. Here's a pic of mine. Not sure if the stocks are original and they are a little big for my hands but I love the way they look.

I want a 66, and a I want to set it up just like that, with nice Smooth Targets. I love Smooth Targets on Stainless and Nicel Revolvers.

That is a beauty.

That 19-4 Snub is a Gem too.
