Letter for 34-1 arrived
Now I know that the RR and W/O are factory. Stocks are not due to a ink stamp date later than the ship date. There were a few members interested in this so here it is.

Thanks for the PM. It is great to know the w/o rear sight IS correct for your gun.
What a beauty; and I'll wager if it has seen the inside of camping gear or outdoor equipment...it was always handled and shown the respect it deserves
Kudos !

Appreciate the PM regarding your beautiful 34. Glad the sights lettered. My -1 was shipped early in '77. Also with RR and WO.
I've carried mine a lot of miles by various means of conveyance.
It's taken quite a variety of small game; including a Grouse that I roasted on a stick at the bottom of a canyon during a soggy day of Elk hunting and a Prairie Rattler that was underneath my horse.
Great revolvers make great memories.

and my sights..
FYI Got my 34-1 today. Serial #804xx which is pretty close to your gun. It has the Nickel plane ramp sight and no white outline. Just a notch there. Looks like your w/o and front red ramp sight were a special order. Cool.
