How much to Nickel Plate
I have a 37 no dash as my CCW and lately been hankering for a nice shiny nickel plated handgun. Does anyone have a ballpark idea cost wise how much it would be to nickel plate a J frame?
Thanks fellow forum members!

Sir, keep your M-37 as is and for a little more than $320.00 you can buy a new revolver, that way you can have one for each hand.

When considering nickel plate, keep in mind some shops will plate directly to the metal, like S&W did, while others plate with a copper intermediate layer, then nickel. Although the copper will fill any pits and allow for a very smooth, shiney nickel finish, it can present issues with the nickel lifting and flaking should solvents or corrosion find their way under the nickel and weaken the copper.
For a carry handgun, it's really hard to beat hard chrome for durability, scratch resistance, and corrosion resistance.

For a little more than the cost of a nickel finish for your gun, buy an additional gun. A shop near me had a couple classic 37’s in nickel recently for under $500
