Default Quickie Range Test Model 31-1

OK, I think we have established that my recently acquired Model 31-1 .32 Long was made in 1969. I had a few minutes to shoot it a couple day ago with MagTech .32 Long 98 gr. RNL ammo. At 10 yards, I fired 6 shots from the bench with a sandbag rest SA, center point of aim. I reloaded and fired 6 rounds double-action, same point of aim, standing 2-handed hold. The little .32 is a pleasure to shoot and I look forward to spending more time with it. My buddy John Taffin has a great article on the .38 S&W and old DA revolvers in the latest AMERICAN HANDGUNNER.

I have a 31-1 with the 2" barrel. It's an easy gun to hit with at 10 yards. Quite a bit easier than a similar sized 38.

I think my 2" needs a 3" (or 4") big brother.

Default Model 31-1 .32 Long

I also have a Colt Pocket Positive in .32 Police (Long) that is also a joy to shoot. It has a 3-1/2" barrel.
