Default Model 18-3

My dad gave me a 22 caliber pistol 43 years ago. It is a Model 18-3 and the serial number is 5K43441. I was wondering what year it was made. I have treasured it because my dad gave it to me. I am a new member and I hope I am doing this the right way. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Probably would do better in the 1961-1980 forum. Let's see if we can get it moved.
BTW, welcome to the forum. Those are great revolvers and that's one to be treasured!

are you sure it was 43 years ago?
The gun most likely shipped in 1973. (41 years ago)

I have this same gun, slightly higher serial number and believe my gun to have been shipped in 1974. My gun is about 99.75% and I love it. Paid top dollar for it and worth every penny. When you see a gun you really like, buy it, as you probably will not get a second chance.

Words to live by. Because while you are thinking about it, someone else has made up their mind. I love my Model 18-3. It's just so sweet to shoot.
