Default Model 10-6 Blueing question

I bought a seemingly nice M10-6 at a pawn shop today but haven't picked it up - paid for it but just didn't have time to wait line and do the 4473 at lunch today- I'll pick it up tomorrow.

I noticed that that trigger was blued, as was the ejector rod. Are they supposed to be blued or case colored or something else?

Here's the SN if it helps: D537***

It's clean and doesn't have much wear.

I'll get picts up when I pick it up.

Thanks,

Matt

A blued trigger would suggest, but not prove, a re-blued gun. Occasionally the case coloring of a trigger can be dark enough it almost looks blue at first glance. The ejector rod should be blue for a blue gun.
Good luck.

Does the hammer look blued too?

Seems unlikely that someone would remove the hammer to re-blue but leave the trigger.

You didn't ask, but the SN would date it as from 1973-74. If you are buying it as a shooter and not as a collectible, and the price is right, I wouldn't make much of an issue about the trigger.

I got it home and it's been reblued.

Thanks for the date!
I think I over paid, but, it all evens out as the shop has given me good deals in the past.

I'll get pictures up later.
