I would like to find a 61, but I've never seen any for sale. Soooo. I've been looking at a Colt 1908 .25acp a guys got in the next town over. Only problem is the bluing is pretty rough, and when asked if it fires, he replied he had never shot it, EXCEPT dry firing it. From everything I've been able to read about them, that is the worst possible thing you can do to them. Also from what I've read the firing pin snaps pretty easy (can anyone confirm this?). And to get an extra magizine for it will cost almost as much as what he wants for the gun. So, I guess I'll stick to hunting for a 61.

I had bought the 586 originally for my father as a thank you gift. It had been the first pistol he ever owned. Once he began shooting with me and some of his friends, he decided it was too heavy for him. So he went out and bought a Glock 17 for his carry and later a 4" barrel .38 Model 10 for a night stand gun.

After years of it just sitting in the case he returned it to me so it could be shot instead of just sitting there gathering dust.
