What model is the beautiful S&W revolver?

This will be easy for you guys. It is exactly what I want one day.. perfect barrel length, grips, etc. Is it a .38 or .357? What would one exactly like this cost to own these days?:

It looks like the one in the picture is an I-Frame revolver with a 4" barrel and Round Butt Grips.

I believe the 34-1 switched to a J-Frame, which was slightly larger than the I-Frame.

The J-Frame is one of Smith and Wesson's best sellers and people love those Kit guns.

If you like the looks of that Revolver, there are may other Smith and Wesson Offerings you will like as well.

What I like most are the grips. I hate the cheap-looking grips put out today.

They are old School Diamond Magna Stocks with Medallions.

Hand Checkered and those are probably hand fitted and matched to the gun.

Vintage Stocks can go for big money, so if you are getting a revolver, pay a few bucks more for one with the right stocks, because finding them after the fact on their own can take time and will cost you more.

The picture shows a Model 63 (stainless) and a Model 34 (Blue). Otherwise the same basic handgun. J Frame, 22 LR. Some of the more fun guns I shoot, and my granddaughters love shooting them.
