As the owner of more than a couple Colt Pythons I have to say the most "mirror blue" guns I've seen are my friends collection of 99+% Registered Magnums. The finish on his RM's is outstanding.

I'm In.......
You've all seen it before, but once more won't hurt. I'd stare at it all day if I didn't have to work.
This one is nice too.
This one don't shine quite as much. Probably all those years in a holster in Kansas City.
This one still has a little left, too.
Just so the K frames don't fell left out. This pre 19 is pretty dull.
This one has a few issues. I just concentrate on the humpback when they start to bother me.
Last, but not least, the 17/19 Franken gun
Ned

I see a lot of 29's! Here is my 29-2 (1980) and my Python (1976). My camera sucks so it is better in person.

few shiny ones
few shiners from the herd. 19-3, 34-1, 25-2, 17-6.
The 17 is not quite the correct time period for this forum, but is one of my favorites.

Don't have a pic and it's not an S&W. I was at one of my LGS's and they had a Kimber on display that had a shiny blue slide. Not blued, just very shiny blue color. The price tag was $1500. No idea what model, caliber.

This thread makes me want to start an opposite thread. I have a M19-4 that I swear skipped right passed the final polishing station. It has more of a matte satin finish than either of my M28's. Weird how some shine like wet glass and some are duller than card stock.

The box on my 27-2 had the finish box marked BT so that must have been an option. However I don't think all the boxes were marked that way. If anyone has fleedback on this please PM me.

The OP did say the shiniest and brightest blue you have. I have a couple of pretty bright blue S & W's but, this Colt is the brightest and bluest revolver I own!

The last photo was just the barrel because the gun had not been cleaned, so I'm posting again. I even got myself in the 1st photo.
