New to me 25-2 .45acp.....
I am the proud new owner of a fine 25-2 .45acp revolver. I have never owned one of these before and would like to find out when this gun was made? Serial # N760xxx
Could any one of the more knowledgeable members help me with this? Are they a particularly "popular" model? Are there any problems I should be aware of? Accuracy issues?
It is in excellent condition, and looks to be hardly fired.
Thank you

1980 is what my book has on it.
Get yourself a good mooner/demooner and lots of moon clips.
I shoot mine a lot. Accuracy is very good on mine. You might want to do a search on here and do a little reading up on the 25-2's

Does the 45acp have the same "overbore" cylinders that I heard the 45 Colt may have?

Mod 25-2
My 25-2 is 1982 or so. Very accurate and fun. I use steel moon clips and Rimz clips

Not likely on the "overbore". Here is one of my 25-2s and a target shot at 10 yards one handed. S/N N6563XX September 1979

I love my 25-2. Mine is circa 1975 I think.

Here's my 25-2 that I picked a couple weeks ago. I am really looking forward to our next day at the range. It came with the original target stocks that are actually very pretty, but too blocky feeling for my taste. Put these hogues on about an hour ago.
Congrats!

Beautiful gun, the 25-2.
On my wanted list.
(And not just because my sweety's got one.)
