I don't know if the authors were talking about the 25-2 but I.A.W. SCSW there were between 1000 and 1500 heavy barrel M-1955's shipped marked .45 CAL MODEL 1950. The marking was in error.

I was trying to get a better idea of 1976 blueing and the overall barrel profile. There are pics out there on the interweb, but they aren't very good and I was hoping some good ones could be shown here.
