64-1 shooting 38 +p
I have a 38 special S&W 64-1, which I believe is a K-frame. I was curious if I can shoot 38 +P ammo through it?

All day, every day. You're unlikely to have any problems other than accelerated wear on the gun from shooting .38+P.
The rule of thumb is that any model marked model (model number in the yoke recess of the frame) is GTG with +P ammunition.

Shooting +P in it should be no problem as was stated. Save +P for defensive or carry. Shoot standard velocity for target practice or plinking. It is a cost & recoil matter. I loaded some 148gr. lead wadcutters with 2.6 gr Bullseye. Accurate, and in a 6" K frame, not much recoil at all. I have a 64-3. Good gun! Enjoy your 64! Bob
