Default 29-2 photos

Recently took these out of the safe for a wipe down and thought I'd post photos. Who does not like to look at photos of the Model 29?

1) 4" 29-2. I had one for many years and foolishly sold it to fund another gun. I instantly missed it. So I set out to find another. Got this one with the presentation case wearing smooth targets. However, my favorite grip configuration is a magna grip with a Tyler-T grip adapter, as pictured:

2) 6 1/2" 29-2. This I bought off of a forum member about 4-5 years ago. Gun only, no extras. I had this gun, a 629 6" and my original 6 1/2" 29-2 that I'd had for many years. When my son graduated from the police academy I offered him any one of those three as a gift. I thought he would take this one as it is better than 95%. But, he wanted my old warhorse 29, and I kept this one:

My son probably figured he'd get this one someday anyway! Another point to add: When I bought both, I thought I overpaid. Guess what? I would gladly buy more if I could pay now what I paid then.

Nice iron. I really like your photos and background, too. Maybe try centering the trigger on the round ring in the middle?

Thank you for sharing. I love both of them! The 6" model 29s are really neat looking.

Beautiful Smiths. Nothing like a wipe down session as an excuse to take pics

Hey viceunit!

Beautiful 29-2's you have there. I especially like the 6 & 1/2" one.

I have a pair of 29-2's as well. Both of mine are with 8 & 3/8th" barrels.

(......small world, eh?.....I'm over here in Westlake)
