Smile Model 29-2 from a local show

I acquired this 29-2 a week ago at a local show. It is near new in its near mint presentation case. First real nice 29-2 I have seen locally for some time. It was shipped in July 1976. click on the photo for a better look.

Bill

Very nice Bill. I can't even remember the last time I saw a nice one at gun shows around here. Has to have been ten or fifteen years.

Wow Bill that is absolutely gorgeous. Wish I could find one like that at a gun show.

Just returned from the Birmingham Show and I do not think I saw a 29 in the show. That's a find. Looks like the one I purchased in 1977.

Beauty. I have it's twin, also in presentation box from about that same time frame. Acquired it used in December of 1978.

I was at the Birmingham show yesterday and did see ONE 29-2, also a 6 1/2" gun but not in mint condition and with no box or any extras. Asking price was $650, I didn't need another one so I passed.

Beautiful 29-2, Doc! I bet that wasn't a $700 steal though.

Last gun show in February in Lafayette LA they didn't have any nice looking 29's like that. They did have a nice 6" barrel nickel 27-2 in great condition (but fired a little bit), but it was priced out of my price range at the time at $1300. For that money for a 27-2 with that barrel length, I would only pay that much if it was still ANIB with a presentation case.
