Just picked up a nice model 34 2", blue with pinned barrel.
s/n M1659xx. Any idea as to value and dob?

Probably 1981. Can't tell much about value with information provided; "nice" means really different things to different folks. If 98% probably $600 (no box) to $800 (with box/papers). Pictures would allow knowledgeable folks to give you a better estimate. Another good solution is to look at the GunBroker sold listings and compare yours to those that actually have recently sold. Of course whatever you paid for it would seem to be the value today. Nice little gun. Enjoy.
