Default A Little 36 Luck

Came across this 36 no dash recently and with a little clean up I think it turned out OK. Anybody care to offer a date based on the serial number 438XXX?

Relatively early Model-designated gun, I would opine. I was worried about the pattern of scratches until I looked more closely and saw it was just the reflection of your plaid shirt. That's some shiny nickel!

Your serial number puts it in the mid 1960s.

Looking at the catalog, it's hard to narrow it down, but interpolating 1964-65 would be a good guess.

Nice piece.

I recently acquired a blue version from 1971.

Yeah...good looking shirt don't ya think! The finish had that neglected nickel haze on it, so a little fritz and a soft cloth, then coat of wax and it turned out OK. Took several days of Aleve to get my poor hurtin wrist back in shape too.
