Default Model 66-1 Front Sight Question

I recently purchased a Model 66-1 via the internet. The gun came with this sight installed on the front. Can anyone tell me what it is? Thanks.

It looks to be a Hiviz or a similar product, on top of a non-factory base.

Is it fiber optic or a brass rod giving the sight picture of a dot? Probably good for target acquisition, but not great for collector and resale value. It can be replaced if you want to restore the gun to factory specs, but appears to be a nice sight to have for shooting. Enjoy the gun. You bought a nice one.

Looks like a Weigand-style interchangeable front sight: Gun sight Interchangeable blade by Weigand
